Wells Recovery partners with local big-box stores and food banks to source and distribute food for local residential patient populations and their families. Wells Recovery peer support program participants pick up daily donations from its partners of both perishable and non-perishable food. Wells Recovery unloads this donated food at various residential facilities, where the food is sorted for use in the facilities themselves and for distribution to the community at large.
Wells Recovery food distribution program helps provide individuals with substance use disorders with a stable and consistent source of nutritious food. This helps alleviate the strain on families who may experience increased financial burdens while their loved one participates in substance abuse treatment and cannot generate income.Â

Wells Recovery distributes a portion of the food inventory it receives as donations to other community organizations that provide food to individuals in need. Wells Recovery has established partnerships with a number of community agencies in the Western Maryland region to which food inventory is provided.
